Zotero --> Word Plugin problems

I'm unable to add citations, or do anything, with the Word Plugin.

I am receiving the following error message regardless of what I try to do:

"Zotero experienced an error updating your document.
Would you like to view troubleshooting instructions?"

I've tried everything in the troubleshooting instructions, and everything I could find in a similar thread posted here:

Any help much appreciated! Currently writing without citing and it's hurting my brain.

    @rosecoli: You haven't done everything in the troubleshooting steps, because 1) the last step will by definition isolate the problem, unless the problem still occurs when you completely clear the document contents, and 2) you haven't provided the requested Report ID.

    1) the problem occurs in a blank document, so I cannot isolate any problem
    2) as the problem occurs in word, I am not sure how to produce a report ID. Appreciate your help though.

    When I try to do anything with Zotero in MS Word - add citations, add biblio, refresh, etc, I receive the following "Zotero Integration Error": "Zotero experienced an eror updating your document."

    I've tried all the suggested troubleshooting steps. The error persists even in a blank document.

    I'm not sure how to reproduce the error because it seems to be a global issue with my Zotero right now.

    I'm going to try to reinstall Zotero I guess?

    Update: I uninstalled and reinstalled Zotero (6.0.26) and the error persists.

    Update update: After reinstalling the Word plugin a couple more times, it is working now, so I guess I solved it?

    (Please don't start new threads for the same issue — it just makes it harder for us to help you. I've moved your posts back to this thread.)

    @rosecoli: You were using the Zotero 7 beta. Be sure to always say that in your posts.

    If you only solved the problem by downgrading to Zotero 6 and reinstalling the plugin, that doesn't tell us much about Zotero 7. If you're in the middle of a project, you shouldn't really be using the beta regardless, but if you can reliably reproduce the problem while using Zotero 7, we'd obviously want to know so that we can fix any problems before Zotero 7 is released.
