Exhibition catalog

Studying art history, I have a lot of exhibition catalogues saved as PDFs...but no proper "document type" to categorize them (as the category "book" seems too large, not precise enough). Am I the only one thinking that?
How amazing it would be to have an "exhibition catalogue" category! :))

How is book "too large"? What is the problem with saving exhibition catalogues as books? If the problem is that you want to have all exhibition catalogues in a separate section in the bilbiography, then a new item type won't help you. You better use tags or collections for this issue.

I think the OP means the "book" type is too broad for exhibition catalogs.

some workarounds, but no real solution as of yet.
