I think I have the same problem. Here's my Debug Report: D1422931540
I have 300-400 citations. It hasn't been a problem so far, but I seem to have hit a wall today where the document won't refresh or update via Zotero without freezing or saying there's another user on the doc. Any help on this would be really appreciated as this is for my PhD thesis. Thank you!
Integration: http-refresh:'1BrufFfOZ0lqVSDq2J5XreQCIf0OB2tGWqHho5MxfCXo' complete in 447.458s
This seems to show the process completing — just in 7.5 minutes. The current version of the Google Docs plugin is going to be slow with that many citations.
As adamsmith says in your other thread, for a document of this size you should look into switching to Word or LibreOffice.
Thank you for the update - apologies for the split threads (feel free to merge them all). By making a copied document I did get the whole thing to refresh without an error (my original doc gives an error every time now), albeit after a long waiting period. I guess I'm just surprised that let's say 399 citations was fine (no change in speed) but just a few citations more and the whole thing tipped.
I had a similar problem! 388 citations and that's it, even with disabled automatic citations. Thanks for the hint with the WORD! It's so so much faster!

I will certainly give Word a shot. Appreciated.
