View the highlighted text without open PDF

Is there a quick trick/way to easily view the highlighted text without having to open the article first in Zotero? Is a special plugin required?

    It will be possible to view annotations directly in the items list in a future version.

    In the meantime there are some options. If you have Added Item Note from Annotations while in the PDF Viewer, or right-clicked Add Note from Annotations in the main view, that child note containing the annotations is then visible under the item in the main view.

    Oke, thanks for the information. A few days ago, when I clicked on a folder, the column on the right showed all the annotations, I thought it was permanent, but since yesterday this facility doesn't appear anymore
