Zotero crashing immediately

I am using Zotero for Mac. When I try to open Zotero, it crashes immediately. It will show up on my toolbar for a brief second before closing. I have tried reinstalling without success. I am on a new computer, so memory should not be an issue.

I would appreciate any advice on how to resolve this issue. Thank you!

    I guess you already have done this, but to be sure. Did you install Rosetta? Did you restart your computer?

    I assumed it was on M1/M2, because it is a new computer. I may be wrong, in fact. Please ignore my comment
  • (Rosetta gets installed automatically when you start an Intel-based app on an Apple Silicon Mac — it's not something you have to do separately.)

    @hmairriess: What macOS version is this? Zotero requires macOS 10.11 or later. All Macs running 10.9 or 10.10 can be upgraded to 10.11.

    To answer the questions-- I did restart, and I am using an M2. The macOS is Monterey 12.5.

    Start by upgrading to the latest version of Monterey or Ventura. 12.5 is out of date.
