Is there a way to modify the "Publication" field for several papers at once?

For some papers, the "Publication" field is "American Economic Review" and for others it's "The American Economic Review".

Is there a way to select all papers whose publication field is "The American Economic Review" and modify it to be "American Economic Review"?

No built-in way, but if you're at all comfortable with scripting you can do this easily from the Run JavaScript window. Example of exactly this here:

I believe you should also be able to do this using the Zutilo add-on. A little more tedious in set-up, but no scripting.
