Hi, is there a faster way to move items from a collection to a subcollection, so they are only seen in the subcollection?

Currently, I do the following:
1. Find relevant items in the main collection
2. Drag the items to a subcollection
3. Find the same items in the main collection again
4. Delete them from the collection

What I would like to do more efficiently is this:
1. Find relevant items in the main collection
2. Drag them to a subcollection while also removing them from the main collection

I'm hoping there is some hidden shortcut I'm not aware of. It would save me hours of time. Thank you.
