Zotero Connector fails to find Zotero... is it because I had to make a new Zotero profile?

I was having a problem syncing attached files from shared group folders. After exhausting other theories, I followed the instructions to set up a new Zotero profile (using Apple's Terminal) and it solved the problem. So I then deleted the old default profile, renamed the new profile as default, and everything's been working. Except - now my Zotero Connector in Google Chrome can't find Zotero, so can't save anything. I've quit and opened Zotero, quit and reopened Chrome, and reinstalled Connector, no luck. Is it the new profile, or something else entirely?

macOS Ventura 13.2
Zotero 6.0.21
Chrome: Version 109.0.5414.119
Zotero connector: 5.0.104

What instructions are you referring to? This generally isn't something we recommend.

Thank you! This helped. (Full restart of the computer seemed to do it - before that, the http://127.0.0.1:23119/connector/ping was timing out with no response either way.)
