Add same tag to multiple items

Apologies for resurrecting a zombie thread.
I use tags to record papers that are a priority read and it would be ideal to be able to select a group of papers and to tag them with the same tag with as few clicks as possible.
Is there a way to do that?

You can select multiple items and drag them to a tag in the tag selector to assign the tag to all items.

This forum often makes me emotional in a way that is hard to describe.
annoyances i didnt even know i had, are solved. Thank you, this makes life much easier.
