PDF icons

Icons of SOME attachments appear online but not on my local computers. Reinstallation and renaming the storage directory did not help. The only way to know if a bibliographic record is linked to an attachment is to check it out in the web library or double-click it. Different computers display the same results - the same articles are represented as not linked to their attachments, although the storage folders have the relevant folders and files. These folders' names are incorporated into the URL strings in the web library, so that it is clear that the folders are up to date.
Many thanks in advance!

If these files can indeed be opened online (using web library) but not locally, it's possible that something (e.g. a third-party cleanup or security software) have affected your files on your computer. It's possible to reset that state, please follow steps described in https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/files_not_syncing

Not sure what that's supposed to show. See the instructions again and make sure you're providing exactly what it asks for, and say what you're providing.

These folders' names are incorporated into the URL strings in the web library so that it is clear that the folders are up to date. Following https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/files_not_syncing I made Reset File Sync History, which helped only on one computer, but not on the other. I then followed #8 on that page: If you've performed all these steps, you've confirmed that the file is available on the server, and you still can't access the file on Device B:
If Device B is a computer, go to the Sync → Reset pane of the Zotero preferences, choose Reset File Sync History, generate a Debug ID for the next sync attempt and an attempt to open the file, and post the Debug ID to the Zotero Forums.
The following number D642778899 was produced immediately after I failed to retrieve the attachment to https://www.zotero.org/michaellukin/search/lullabies balka/titleCreatorYear/items/3ANZGGFI/attachment/BXK8SVLD/reader
which is available online, as you can see. The relevant folder (BXK8SVLD) is present in Zotero storage on this computer. If it helps - it contains a file labeled ".zotero-ft-unprocessed". What should be done to avoid this in the future? I have tens or maybe even hundreds of such cases, what should I do now? Thank you!
  • (4)(+0000000): Checking attachment file for item 1/BXK8SVLD

(3)(+0000001): Mod time for 1/BXK8SVLD matches remote file -- skipping
That file exists locally, though… And your debug output doesn't show you attempting to open any files.
