Style Error: Progress in Oceanography in-text citation
Hello,
I found an error in Progress in Oceanography in Mendeley. For the in-text citation with multiple citations, it alphabetizes by author, instead of arranging them chronologically.
For example, it orders this in-text citation like this:
(Lavaniegos and Ohman, 2007; Webber and Roff, 1995; Williams and Robins, 1979)
It should order it this way:
(Williams and Robins, 1979; Webber and Roff, 1995; Lavaniegos and Ohman, 2007)
Thanks for your help!

Also, we generally go by published papers, especially when guidelines are rudimentary. (https://www.elsevier.com/journals/progress-in-oceanography/0079-6611/guide-for-authors)
You can clearly see in .pdfs of papers that they sort by author name first.
E.g. "...and the Pacific Ocean (Cai et al., 2020; Fang
et al., 2009; Gan et al., 2016b; Qu et al., 2006b; Quan and Xue 2019;
Tian et al., 2006; Yang et al., 2010; Yang et al., 2014; Zhang et al., 2015."

It sounds like they are not so strict about it, but it does say that,
"References in the text should be arranged chronologically."
It says they'll rearrange things if needed, but maybe they don't care that much about the format.
Thanks!
