Update hangs - ID: 2091366085 - starting with 6.0.16

Is this getting fixed? Can I wait for that or do I need to do something else?
  • What exactly hangs? If Zotero says updating and then hangs, you can just quit the app and the update will almost certainly go through when you start it the next time. Otherwise you'd need to say a bit more about what's going on.
  • I have quit and tried several times. Even let it run all night. But Zotero simply never finishes--never displays an active screen again.
  • I'd just download the latest version and re-install then (which is exactly what the update is supposed to do, so functionally equivalent). Might be possible to troubleshoot what's going on with the update, but doesn't seem worth it, especially since you're 4 updates behind the current version.
  • Ok. Many thanks. Zotero is absolutely terrific. If I download and install the latest, will it automatically overwrite the old one and keep all the settings, like links to external database?
