articles that don't have metadata

psst
Hi, I need to add citations that don't have metadata on Zotero to an MS Word document. Besides manually going through the document and editing the citations, is there a smarter way to do this on Zotero? Thanks.

What do you mean by "citations that don't have metadata"?

When I right-click on an article under My Library on the Zotero app, there's this option called, "Retrieve Metadata for PDF." After clicking on it, a few of these "PDF does not contain OCRed text." For these PDFs, the citations cannot be added on MS Word by Zotero. How can I add these PDF citations using Zotero to Word?

right-click --> Create parten item and the fill out the metadata manually (or use an identifier if prompted)
