iOS: misleading search field after switching apps

In the iOS app (version 1.0.3 Build 5), I am experiencing the following. If I search the library for some pattern, switch apps, and then switch back to Zotero, the library results are still filtered but the search term no longer appears in the text field. This makes the library look smaller than it really is, as the results are being filtered but there is no search pattern visible.

To reproduce:
1. Enter a search pattern to filter the library results.
2. Switch to another app.
3. Switch back to Zotero.
4. Notice that the search textfield is empty, but the search results still reflect the previous search pattern.
  • I can't reproduce this. Can you take a screen recording of this happening and either post a link to it or email it to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?

    What device?
  • I initially had difficulty reproducing this today, but after it happened once it remained pretty consistent:

The device is an iPad Air (5th generation) running iOS 15.6 (19G71).

  • I can still reproduce this with version 1.0.8 Build 10. Is anyone else experiencing this?
  • I think I found another way to reproduce this with Version 1.0.9 Build 4:

    1. Using the library search field, enter a search pattern and then open a PDF from the results.
    2. Tap on the 3 dots at the top of the screen, and then "New Window" at the bottom.
    3. Open some other PDF.
    4. Switch back to the original window.
    5. Go back to the library.
    6. Notice that the search field is empty, but the search results still reflect the previous search pattern.
    7. Tapping in the search field refreshes the list of results.
