Quick Copy negative indent?

I don't know why, but when I quick copy in Chicago style and paste it to Word, I get a negative indentation of about -0.66". I checked the style guide to make sure that is not the intended style.

Similar things happen to MLA and other styles that come with a hanging indent. Any idea how to fix it?

    Using the "Merge Formatting" paste option generally work better (though that would take the indent from the existing Word style).

    Unfortunately, most word processors don't play well with the HTML that Zotero copies to the clipboard -- this has been a longstanding issue.

    Indentation is wrong no matter what, with or without HTML, or whatever paste option I use.

    HTML is just how Zotero writes formatted text to the clipboard -- this isn't something you set.

    As for merge formatting, as I said, that takes the indent from the target document, so whether it's wrong depends on that doc. I'd expect this to be left-aligned with Word's default Normal style.
