Problem starting & loading Zotero

Hi
After a recent Zotero update, my Zotero desktop app starts but does not load database anymore. I can see the main window but no data! I am not even able to display the Preferences, or see the About window... however some other menu selections seem to work like Check for updates...
Any help please ?

    Are you able to provide a Report ID?

    And what exactly do you see in the main window? Can you upload a screenshot somewhere (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) and provide a link here?
  • I am using Windows 11.
    I am not able to generate Report.. In fact, when clicking on Help\Report errors.. nothing happens !

  • Can you provide a Debug ID for Zotero startup, using the "Restart with Logging Enabled…" option?

    If not, see Logging to a Terminal Window, but that doesn't work as well on Windows.

    You should try reinstalling Zotero from the download page.
  • I did reinstall... but still the sae behavioir, same log !!
  • Try uninstalling it, restarting your computer, and reinstalling.

    There's either a problem with your installation or some sort of security software on your system is interfering. You're getting a weird error that we've never seen before.

    I uninstalled, cleaned and solved a windows update error. I reinstalled Zotero and now it works! The problem was the windows update error.

    Now Zotero has new library. I should reload my existing librarydata! How can I d othat ?
  • Did you delete your Zotero data directory?

    In general, see Locating Missing Zotero Data.

    Note that if you did delete your local data, you can just sync a new installation to pull down your data from the online library, but since you're at your file storage quota, all of your files wouldn't have been uploaded previously.

    My problems are solved and I was able to resync yusing a backup directory.
