Zotero Connector extension for Chrome failing for all sites

Hi Experts, I tried all the troubleshooting steps at https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues to no avail, so I'm posting my issue here.

I have a stack of printed articles that I want to save for later reference (and to downsize my paper files), so this morning I was happily pulling up the .pdfs online and using the Zotero Connector to quickly and easily save stuff. I managed to save 2 new citations/articles to my account but upon the 3rd (and following) the connector simply stopped working. I'm at a loss as to how the connector stopped working from one article to the next (and all subsequent articles), when I had changed no settings.

    Possibly related, there seems to be some kind of javascript error occuring, which I reported.

    That site would be an exception — they've configured their servers to a very high level of security that breaks backwards compatibility with some clients, and that includes Zotero. Not unreasonable, but most sites aren't yet using those settings. Zotero 7 will support connecting to servers like this next year.

    For now, if you want to save a PDF from that site, you should just save it to disk and drag it to Zotero.

    We almost never see this, so this shouldn't be a problem on other sites.

    Thanks so much for the assist! I was experiencing the same issue with Project Muse so I'll create an new post/Debug ID if the error persists.
