Need help for editing (APA 7th) style
Hi,
i would like to edit the already existing APA 7th ed. style to cope with the editorial constraints of a journal (Constructivist Foundations), and i'm a bit lost in the CSL specifications.
I want to do three things:
1) Formatting the authors in bold in the bibliographical references.
2) Deleting the comma in textual citations between the author and the date, ie from "(author, date)" to "(author date)".
3) Deleting the ending online reference links of article in the bibliographical references ("https://doi.org/...")
Can someone help me ? Thanks in advance.
Regards.

2) Under citation >> layout you'll see a group with delimiter=", " set. Remove that comma. (line 1741 on APA7)
3) That's a bit more involved. One easy way is just delete the DOI variable from the access macro.
If you get the style together we would be grateful if you submitted it to the repository for other academics to also use. Otherwise if you share your code I can do that for you (and maybe fix a few things also).

The style given in the author guidelines and used in PDFs for the journal aren’t particularly close to APA 7—there are a lot of differences. It would be better to make a style specifically for the journal.
Can you please format the Mares and Campbell/Pedersen items listed here according to the journal style? https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/blob/master/REQUESTING.md
I do see that many of the cited articles and chapters in both the guidelines and PDF include URLs. In general, I would strongly recommend including those to aid retrieval by the reader.
@damnation
@bwiernik I do agree that keeping the URLs is better.
Thanks a lot for your quick and usefull expert answers.
Regards.

That way I can find a better matching and high quality template style and work from there.

1) With ** meaning bold.
2) If possible, the next lines after the first of each reference should be indented by 1 tabs (5 spaces).

I will post here if i have futur editor's comment about it.
Have a nice day.
In Bibliography > With Item Type: Video Recording and Film, the Title is printed first (and only with date in Film).
To be consistent with the other (scientific) references and APA style, i think it should be:
1. the Director(s) for film followed by (Director), or Cast Member(s) for Video Recording
2. then Date (this is already ok)
3. then Title followed by "(Film)" for Films, and Title followed by "(Video)" for Videos
4. then Distributor for films, and Series Title for videos
5. then finally URL for videos (this is also already ok)
Thank you in advance for your time.
