I'm not sure exactly what you mean here. If you have someone else's Word doc but don't have their Zotero library, you can still use the Zotero plugin to cite the items already in the document by selecting from the Cited section of the search results in the citation dialog. But to use their actual library, you would either need to be using their account or it would have to have been a group library that you've been invited to.
