Zotero closes word

Hello,

I have had a disabling problem with zotero for a while. It has always worked well, but now as soon as I insert a reference (citation) zotero makes me close all word documents and it's very annoying I almost lost data. I have tried all the troubleshooting suggestions but nothing works!
How can I do this?

    What do you mean by this? What exactly is happening?

    If this is a Mac and you're getting a freeze using a footnote style, it's a bug in a recent version of Word:

    no, i use windows, the problem when i write a text and i want to insert a zotero reference. I click on zotero, the bar opens and as soon as I enter an author's name for example everything closes, all the word pages close!
    It's disabling, I can't do anything with zotero anymore

    (Please don't open multiple threads for the same issue. It just makes it harder for us to help you. I've deleted your other thread.)

    @adomasven might have some other ideas here, but the main things I can suggest would be to 1) disable any other add-ins/templates you have installed, 2) upgrade Word, or 3) reinstall Word. You could also try in a new OS user account to see if there's something in this account that's interfering, but that's a bit more annoying to do.
