Is it possible to create/add an additional column to zotero for recording notes?

At the moment, I put my notes under "Extra" column.
is it possible to add an additional column to Zotero for recording notes? create my own column to record my thoughts/key info. Any plug-in or settings?
This is besides PDF annotations.

    The standard way would be to use notes of which you can have any number per item, though their content doesn't show up in a column (but you can see *whether* an item has an attached note.

    I am interested in a column only for short tags/keywords. If that is possible would be a massive help for sorting and quick glance.
