Emojis not showing up left to the item in coloured tags

I have tried to add emojis to coloured tags. But I manage to see only the coloured square and not the emoji – am I doing something wrong? I am using a common ⭐️ for testing purposes and I include it as the text of the tag. Many thanks for your help

    It works in general but there's a problem with that character. We'll take a look.

    @dml0sc: OK, thanks — this will be fixed in the latest Zotero beta, available in a few minutes, and the fix will be included in Zotero 6.0.9.

    This would happen with emoji that were initially text-based Unicode symbols and include a "variation selector" to indicate that they should be shown as emoji. (Not sure why no one else has reported this.)

    Hi, I still cannot see the emoji appear in the title, but the coiloured square. It shows in the tag pane (bottom left). I am using Ubuntu 20.04 and the zotero 6.0.12 .deb version.
