Zotero 6 - add "fit one full page" option in PDF reader

The inbuilt PDF reader in Zotero 6 has page zoom-in/out and page width settings for page display. I often use "fit one full page" setting in Acrobat. Can that be added as an option?

We've added Zoom to Page Height in the latest Zotero beta.
  • That's great. Thanks.
  • Changelog for 6.0.5 (April 21, 2022) says Added “Zoom to Page Height” option. I am on 6.0.7 but not seeing that option.

Can you take a screenshot, upload it somewhere (e.g., Dropbox or Google Drive), and provide a link here, and also provide a Report ID? This option was definitely added.

Is that meant to be showing the toolbar? This is an option in the View menu and the context menu when right-clicking on the page, alongside Zoom to Page Width.
  • Ah, I see the page height option in the View menu. Thanks.

My immediate need is solved and this helps me use the inbuilt reader. In a future update, can the page height option be added to the toolbar beside the page width option (or just make that toolbar user customizable)? I always read my PDFs in page height mode, so every extra click (2 vs 1) adds up quickly.
  • There is a related question about making it easier to zoom to page height here:

  • Dan, the setting in the View menu does not work if a PDF's default view setting is multiple pages. In my Acrobat reader, when I open such a PDF, I can use the "fit one full page" setting, and my entire vertical screen is one page of the document - a great way to read PDFs. In general the behavior of the "fit one full page" is different than just "zoom to page height."
