Did alphabetical incremental search break on the latest update?

previously when I had in the collections sidebar focussed if I typed "M" it woudl scroll to the `m_estimation` collection. "ME" to `measure_rvs` and "MECH" to `mechanism_design`. I understand we call this incremental search?
Now "M" scrolls to `m_estimation` and then... the cursor stays there. Further letters do nothing. Is that intentional? Is incremental search no longer supported?

Same thing for me - used to work, no longer works. I use Zotero 6.0.6 on MacOS Monterey 12.3

Yeah, it is not ideal, especially for the "S" section. Now I need to replace 4 keystrokes is... 67 keystrokes. :-/

Looking at the last time I experienced angst about this feature — https://danmackinlay.name/notebook/comfy_gnome.html#typeahead-navigation — I see that I should have called it "typeahead navigation".
