Zotero not working on new mac

I got a new MacBook air. Zotero appears on the bottom toolbar but not on the top and despite redownloading connector and making sure Microsoft word add in was installed, it still doesn't link. Any help?

    I'm not sure what you mean by "bottom" and "top" here — the Dock and your browser toolbar?

    Can you take a screenshot that shows what you're referring to, upload it somewhere (e.g., Dropbox or Google Drive), and provide a link here?
