2.0b7 bug: file not found for item 113

Error ID: 1818987742

Summary: File not found for item 113 after processing download in Zotero.Sync.Storage.processDownload()

This happened when I upgraded from 2.0b5 or 6 (not sure) to 2.0b7. I also notice that some tabs, such as that for adding a note, disappears.

Currently, I cannot sync or add a new note, but can still read existing notes.

Please let me know if you know how to solve this issue.
I am using Firefox 3.0.13 on Ubuntu 9.04.

Many thanks,
Pinyo
  • We're looking into the download error.
I also notice that some tabs, such as that for adding a note, disappears.

  • Thank you about the tabs. I just realize that I can add a note from a pop-up menu by right-clicking on a target item. This seems to be very convenient for me.

By the way, if you need any further information about the download error, please let me know.

  • At least one cause of the download error should be fixed in 2.0b7.1, though there may be some cases where it still occurs. Let us know if you're still having trouble.
  • Hi Dan,

There is no error message on my Ubuntu 9.04 anymore.

I am, however, not 100% sure if it did get new entries from my Windows machine because the sync process took much longer than usual.

To test, I switched to my Window machine and updated Zotero to 2.0b7.1. Unfortunately, I could not finish the test because I encountered a new problem. This time on my Windows XP 64-bit machine. Detail is shown below.

    Report ID: 651995654
Summary: Error processing uploaded data (Report ID: 5e1fc49a)
  • I tried generating a debug log, but another problem was encountered during sync.

    Report ID: 2093225295
Summary: Component returned failure code: 0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) [nsIFile.create]
    Debug ID: D89049386
Platform: Windows XP 64 bit, Firefox 3.5.3

I have a question about Zotero's error reporting system. If I enable debug log and an error occurs, do I need to submit debug info separately? Or, does Zotero always submit available debug info, if available?

    Thank you,
    Pinyo
  • I got that one as well, mentioned it here.

Should this be a new thread?
