Section 889 compliance

U.S. Federal agencies are now faced with a new requirement before purchasing any items: The companies must be "section 889" compliant. This refers to Section 889 of the National Defense Authorization Act to avoid systemic espionage from equipment or software (spyware).

Does Zotero meet this requirement?

Zotero definitely meets those requirements - it uses a standard server stack on AWS with no proprietary software as its essential components. I don't know, though, if they have a process for signing forms to that extent.
