Basic issues after update to Zotero 6

This morning Zotero told me that it was time to update to Zotero 6 and I agreed.
Looks sleek, but I now get bad error messages for basic main functionality.

Updated Chrome extensions, updated Chrome, restarted computer (iOS 11.6.5).

Still these major issues:
- Zotero connector fails. Example on https://academic.oup.com/ije/article/49/1/16/5476570: "Importing Silverchair - failed. Attempting DOI - failed. Attempting (forget what the 3rd try was) - failed." Then gave link to trouble shooting guide with proposal to update Zotero, Chrome, and connector extension.
- Attempted import from ID with DOI 10.1093/ije/dyz076: "Lookup Failed. Zotero could not find a record..."

Ok, perhaps that journal paper has a problem. Tried a few others. Every import attempt via connector or by DOI fails now.

What do I need to update or change in addition to Zotero (now 6.0), Chrome, and connector?
  • It's even worse than that:
    Manual "Add" - "Journal Article" does nothing. No new item in the collection. No follow-up dialog box.

    Zotero 6.0 correctly displays my current database but appears to not allow adding anything. What basic issue am I encountering, or how can I revert?

  • D2010065930 should capture me clicking add - Journal Article and then nothing happening.
  • I just noticed that I can add items in my personal library but not in our company's group library. What (after the update to Zotero 6.0) might have messed up the resp. credentials?

    Are you currently logged out of syncing in the Sync pane of the preferences? There's a bug in the current version in group libraries when that's the case. It'll be fixed for 6.0.2. If you set up syncing again this should go away.

    In case others encounter this as well: Preferences did show my account still linked to the group libraries after the update to Zotero 6.0, but I had to unlink the account and then relink to get that back.
