Zotero Tab missing in Word

In Word 2016, the Zotero tab is missing. Well, not completely: there is an empty tab there and when I click in that empty space I get into the Zotero tab (still untitled). However, none of the buttons do anything...

I've reinstalled the Word Processor add-in - but nothing changes. This is a work PC and it does not allow editing of the macros in the Trust Center.

I'm afraid we can't provide much guidance on that. It's possible your IT department is blocking template/add-in installation, or there could be some other problem with your Word installation. I'd start by deleting Zotero.dotm from the Startup folder, restarting Word to make sure it's gone, and then reinstalling either from the Cite pane of the Zotero preferences or manually.
