categories for translators of Japanese databases
Hi,
I am working with Dan Chudnov on translators for the following Japanese databases:
http://ci.nii.ac.jp/
http://webcatplus.nii.ac.jp/
http://seika.nii.ac.jp/
an the following commercial sites:
http://bookweb.kinokuniya.co.jp/
http://www.junkudo.co.jp/
In preparing this work, we found that a few extra categories would be very handy, if not essential::
'author-name transcribed'
'title transcribed'
'series title transcribed'
and possibly
'place transcribed'
'publisher transcribed'
Can this be taken care of?
Looking forward to a reply,
Michael.

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Instead of commenting here, you should start a new discussion. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.
BTW, how are you dealing with Asian personal names Michael? Do you just take the complete string and map it to the single-name field?
I've been concerned about how best to be international-friendly on this count both in the Zotero UI, the internal data model, and the import/export support. But I'm not an expert in this area.
