Not quite sure what you're seeing here. The current certificate should expire on January 5, 2024, and is timestamped to allow it to continue working after that date. The last one expired January 5, 2021. I don't believe we ever had a certificate that expired yesterday.
Can you take a screenshot of what you're seeing, upload it somewhere (e.g., Dropbox or Google Drive), and provide a link here? And also provide a Report ID from Zotero?
Right, you're misreading that. It says the expiration was January 5, 2021. We renewed that one a year ago with a new expiration of 2024.
You'd be seeing this if Zotero wasn't able to automatically update the Word plugin. You can reinstall it from the Cite pane of the Zotero preferences, or follow the manual installation instructions if that doesn't work on your system.
This worked. I had to - replace the Zotero.dotm file in the Word startup folder with the newly downloaded version - reinstall it from the Zotero->Edit->preferences->Cite->Word processors->Install Microsoft Word Add-in - restart Zotero and Word Thank you for your help!
To be clear, you didn't have to do both — it's one or the other. All the install button does is replace the Zotero.dotm file. If your system settings block that (likely, since you ended up with an outdated copy), you have to copy it manually.
I understand. After copying the new version into the Word startup folder no Zotero menu appeared after restarting Word. Anyway it works now and I can use Zotero again (which I love and use since its first version for many years now!)
