Cannot insert anymore citations!

I have beed working on my thesis where I added around 200 citations and I am not able to insert anymore citations (it freezes then gives me error message). I am using the version 5.0.96.3. So, I think it is up to date. I don't know what should I do.

    First of all, report the exact error message you are seeing.

    For now, when I try to select multiple citations, I keep clicking on each reference but it does not get selected. I only occasionally get an error messages but otherwise, it just freezes.
