Upgrade StorageZotero not refreshing

I am using Zotero in Word on a Mac. I am using the Australian Guide to Legal Citation 4th ed.
I have nearly 300 footnotes and Zotero is not refreshing properly. This means that footnotes that subsequently refer to a source that I have cited above are not updating the number of the footnote that the source was originally cited in.
Can you please help me to solve this problem?
My thesis is due in under a week and I really need all of these sources to be properly updated.
