APA newest edition - deutsche Version Website Datum & Social Media Posts

edited October 31, 2021
Morgen,

ich nutze die neuste Version von APA, aber auf Deutsch. Bei den Website Einträgen / Online-Zeitschriftartikeln mit exaktem Datum, wird bei mir im Literaturverzeichnis das Datum so angezeigt:

Baumann. M. (2021, September 15). 50 Jahre.... ZDF Heute...

Richtig wäre es ja im Deutschen Baumann. M. (2021, 15. September). usw.

Jemand einen Ratschlag, was ich tun kann?

Und eine weitere Frage: wie können Social Media Posts mit dieser Version richtig zitiert werden? Wenn ich es als Website zitiere, ist es ja so nicht wirklich korrekt, wie es die offiziellen Angaben beschreiben.

Besten Dank.
LG
  • For the date format, you would need to edit the APA CSL file. Download the file and open it in a text editor like Notepad or TextEdit. Find these lines:

    <date variable="issued">
    <date-part prefix=", " name="month"/>
    <date-part prefix=" " name="day"/>
    </date>

    Replace with:

    <date variable="issued" prefix=", " delimiter=". ">
    <date-part name="day"/>
    <date-part name="month"/>
    </date>

    Then, change the style id and title fields at the top of the style, save the file, and install to Zotero.

    For social media posts, see here and the other items in that collection for the social media examples from the APA manual. https://www.zotero.org/groups/2205533/test_items_library/collections/MR2N872S/items/CKZKF33X/item-details
  • Bwiernik, probably one for you to look at.

    I confirm via one of those APA generators that the citation should indeed have the date like this:
    Herbert, P. O. (2010, 4. August). Test. Die Testseite. Abgerufen am 3. Dezember 2020, von https://www.testurl.com

    In the style the date is "hardcoded" (for a lack of word), so the locale setting doesn't change its format.
  • (CSL can't localize month/day, which is why it's hard coded)
  • I think we have it slated to add “month-day” as an option in CSL 1.1
