Vancouver (Brackets) Style same author same year disambiguation not working

Hi,
I am trying to cite two different sources with the same author and year. Every time I try to cite the second source, it inserts the first one (even though I am not selecting the first one). I tried it on a new Word document and they worked perfectly. I can't figure out why it won't work in my current working document. I also tried copying my current document to a new Word document but that didn't work either. Any suggestions for how I can get Zotero to recognize that there are two sources in use?
Thanks!
  • Other references insert with different numbers correctly, though?
  • Yes, any other references I try to insert work as they should.
  • I don't see how this can plausibly happen, and we don't have any other report of it. I guess you could try inserting with the classic editor, see if that makes a difference?

Also, what happens if you insert both items in a single citation (so one that should result in [1,2]?
  • Thanks. Putting them both into a single citation made them show up as separate entries. I was then able to delete the non-applicable one and the right one stayed in place. Good advice, much appreciated!
