Big Sur with the newest Microsoft Word

Hi,
since the troubleshooting page for Word for Mac seems to not have been updated for mac users since 2019, I am forced to ask why there is literally no way for Students who use a newer Macbook to use Zotero in Word as a Plugin. Citavi already says they literally don't care about mac users since about 10 years. Please tell me this isn't the case with Zotero as well...
  • Zotero works and is tested frequently with current versions of Word for Mac on the current OS X release (i.e. currently Big Sur). The troubleshooting page hasn't been updated because no new issues have appeared over the last two years.

If you or any users are experiencing problems, please describe what's not working and what troubleshooting you've tried, with as little editorializing as possible.
  • Luckily a Tutorial on Youtube(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltuW1kCuh10)was able to helped me. The issue was that, unlike what I'm reading on this website, the plugin is NOT automatically being installed for Word. But I am now able to use it. Thanks regardless.
  • @AndrewNeufeld: Please read Etiquette before posting here again. If you're having trouble with something, just post here politely and ask for help rather than implying that Zotero is somehow fundamentally broken for millions of users.

The plugin is installed automatically, like we say, and we provide detailed troubleshooting instructions for cases where that didn't happen.

The video you linked to has confused, incorrect instructions. It happens to produce the right result somewhat by accident, but the instructions we provide in the documentation are correct and are what people should be following.
