Processing time

Hi there,
I am currently editing a word document with 155 pages and it takes zotero forever to process new footnotes. Any tips on circumventing the wait?

    Which operating system? Any way to split up the Word document? Even Word alone slows down with Footnotes in very long documents

    Mac OS, Windows, Linux (each with specific version number or name such as "Big Sur" "Windows 10" or "Ubuntu 20.10") are operating systems.

    I assume the dissertation has chapters? Most people would do all editing in chapters and only assemble at the very end to avoid lag.

    It is a 155p long chapter, unfortunately. It is Mac OS Catalina.
    It takes forever and has glitches all the time... :-(
