Hello everyone,

I work for a professor who is using zotero to compile his research. He adds a large volume of files every day and we (myself and some other assistants) clean up the citation information and categorize the files. This has worked well for years (he has been adding files since 2013). We've never had any trouble locating files. Other people have been added as admins (me included) and we've added files for him too. We've also never had any trouble uploading these files.

Well, within the past few months we've had constant issues. Our library reps can't seem to help us and we have no idea what is wrong. We are all on the same version of zotero (most up to date). I first noticed when the professor was uploading files that I would sometimes go to click a link, pdf, or word doc and would receive a pop up saying "The attached file could not be found at the following path:

C:\Users\ERINC\Zotero\storage\DISW2CND\Melton--Enlightenment.pdf

It may have been moved or deleted outside of Zotero, or, if the file was added on another computer, it may not yet have been synced to or from zotero.org." or some variation on this pop up. It doesn't happen for all files.

I tested to see whether it was just the professor, and added a file to zotero from my work computer and tested to see whether I could open it from my personal computer. I couldn't. some files open but an increasing amount give that pop up. Can someone please help me?
