Upgrade StorageExtra field not working

I have tried to enter various things (like DOI) into the 'Extra' field and they do get reproduced in the citation.
I have reinstalled Zotero. I'm using the latest citation styles from the repository.
I'm using CSM 17th (full note, short title subsequent), updated 4/26/2020, but this problem persists irrespective of which citation style I select.
Zotero version: 5.0.96.3 (latest) on MacOS Big Sur 11.5.2

michael riordanThis was solved by deleting Better Bibtex. Not sure why.

amaccoopSo can you still use Better Bibtex?

adamsmithBetter BibTeX should definitely not interfere with adding item information via Extra and in general doesn't. If that happens reliably, it should be reported to the BBT developer via github and he'll in all likelihood fix that quickly.

emilianoeheynsI've not yet heard about this. If BBT is the cause of this, I really want to fix this.
