Zotero client saying storage quota exceeded - online says less than half used

I am using free plan - which has a quota of 300mb.

My zotero client on Ubuntu has stopped syncing saying:

"
You have reached your Zotero File Storage quota. Some files were not uploaded. Other Zotero data will continue to sync to the server.

See your zotero.org account settings for additional storage options.
"

the account settings online - as opened directly from the client says:

"
Quota 300 MB
Expiration Never
Current Usage
My Library - 124.1 MB

Total - 124.1 MB

41.4%
"

  • You're likely syncing with a different account.

    Thanks, that is possible.
Where do I check for conflicting entries. I opened the account web settings from the Zotero Ubuntu client, hoping to verify.
Is the account identity hiding in the data-directory somewhere?
  • I don't know what you mean by "conflicting entries", but you can see the account you're syncing with from the Sync pane of the Zotero preferences.
  • Hi all..

same problem as "pjgoodall_etl".. same error message.. only I am using Windows 7.. and i'm syncing the right account, i just checked..

    thank you !!
  • Sorted thank-you

it would be helpful if the zotero client could display the email address of the account as 'account details' , or open the zotero web-site settings ready to login.

Usernames are a bit 1990s BBS

I don't particularly like usernames either, but accounts can have more than one email address associated with them.
