Upgrade StorageAdvanced search not showing results

When I do an advanced search and click on 'search' no items appear. If I save the search, then items show up as expected.

The search button was clicked before the screenshot was taken. Same result whether Search subcollections, Show only top-level..., or Include parent... were selected or not.
