How do you reference the Zotero Tool?
I have used Zotero for a year and is a very useful tool. I would like to site it as I use it to collect bibliographical data for citation in word and also for literature review where I use the tags and notes to code my citations.
I have searched on how to reference the Zotero tool on the site an in the forums. When I use the Auto Save from the menu on the homepage I get the following in my word document
[147] ‘Zotero | Your personal research assistant’. https://www.zotero.org/ (accessed Aug. 02, 2021).
Many tools have a reference citation format. Given that Zotero is opensource and welcomes contribution, i suggest the following citation
Roy Rosenzweig (2006), Zotero. https://www.zotero.org/. Center for History and New Media. George Mason University.
I also notice there is no copyright notice, or commercial licenses available on the website or on the help of the desktop version for those who need it. I suggest we have a similar page to the one I use for my opensource ABM tool NetLogo. (see link) http://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/docs/copyright.html

Generally, the emerging software citation standards don't suggest software used for writing and reference management, so I'd only cite Zotero in very rare circumstances.
The license and copyright statement (which is AGPL) is part of the github repository, as is the case for most software https://github.com/zotero/zotero/blob/master/COPYING
