    Double-clicking where? Double-clicking a note in the items list still opens a note in a separate window. That hasn't changed.

    It's also possible to open a note in a separate window from the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the note.
    2. The image in note is too small to influence reading
    Not sure what exactly you mean here, but the size of images in a note depends on where you're viewing it. In the right-hand pane it might be somewhat small, but you can open the note in an external window, and if you add a note to your word processor (as the beta now enables) it'll just be part of your document.
