OPDS for Zotero Standalone Client

Hello, anyone knows if there's a way to create an OPDS catalog with my Zotero account, its the only way to transfer files to my old E-Reader, and I don't wanna spend $500 in one of the over priced new models. Any help would be thanked, I'm not really tech-savvy.

It seems to not be compatible with the latest zotero releases(?).

There was already an open issue, but I'd appreciate it if you could join. It wouldn't be a lot of work, but it's only worth doing it someone will actively use/test.

An alternative is to use a combination of Calibre (https://calibre-ebook.com/) and Zotero Metadata Import for Calibre (https://www.zotero.org/support/plugins).

@mc I tried it but it doesn't work on my version of Zotero for some reason, a shame I already installed Calibre

Import into calibre would be a one-time thing, I take it? If a new book is added to calibre after import into zotero, what would happen?

@emilianoeheyns I use Zotero as my source and Calibre for OPDS only. I set up a new collection in Zotero for items I want to import into Calibre using Zotero Metadata Import (ZMI). To keep things neat, I have a separate library for Zotero items in Calibre. ZMI looks after new items included in the Zotero collection.

@RoiAd I have the combination working on Windows 10 with Zotero 5.0.96.2, Calibre 5.19.

If that is the preferred solution anyhow then I needn't bother with porting the opds server right?

I don't know if that is a preferred solution, just one that works for me.

If it's not too much to ask, I'd encourage you to keep working on the server, as I find Calibre less than ideal.
