AGPS vs Elsevier Harvard

Hello,
Does anyone know if the above referencing styles are the same as I have to use AGPS Author Date and it is not a Zotero option?

By AGPS you mean the Australian govenment style? Very much not the same as Elsevier Harvard. You can start with https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:style-manual-australian-government&format=author-date&dependent=0
But the style guide has recently been updated (and published openly by the AUS government) and we haven't updated the style yet.

Just as a point of trivia -- we required students to use the AGPS Style Manual 6th edition version (2002) of Harvard in our postgrad courses years ago (I still have a copy right here). One student (from an Aust Govt dept) in particular was fairly annoyed by having to do so and frequently complained about the many minutiae of the style (commas, no caps for book titles, etc) whenever an assignment was due.

Some years later, after graduating, she contacted me to tell me that -- no doubt, for those sins -- she had been put in charge of managing the new update to the Style Manual.

I'd call that Karma ;-)

And I see that the (rather irritating, I always thought) "vol. no. pp." convention has been dispensed with in the new update, in both the author-date and note-based forms. It now looks closer to the older "Vancouver style" citation system that was also described in AGPS 6th edn (which I much preferred, BTW: it was always so much more compact).

It will be great when these styles have been updated to the new scheme.

While I used to cook up output style files for ProCite and output styles for EndNote with relative ease, I confess that CSL looks a bit forbidding, so I'm struggling to get my head around editing styles in CSL/Zotero.

Therein lies one problem -- many changes are to the Style Manual's non-citation sections. The Changelog lists multiple changes to what the 6th edition print version had: https://www.stylemanual.gov.au/changelog

But it is less than easy to trawl through. A couple of links, however, do deal with author-date and documentary-note citations and referencing, as well as the addition of new formats for citations (such as plays and poetry, broadcast media, legal material, etc). The closest link to get to those is this one:

which links to a section that lower down lists specific changes to 6th edition for the new formats mentioned above and specifically for author-date:
