OSCOLA: citations in the footnotes are not sorted chronologically

I have recently noticed that the OSCOLA citation style does not sort citations in the footnotes in chronological order. I do not use OSCOLA regularly and therefore I am not sure if this is a bug or a feature (you can manually change the citation order). However, as far as I remember, the citations were previously automatically sorted in chronological order.

Just in case, I am using Zotero v. 5.0.96, LibreOffice v. 7.0.5.2 and the OSCOLA csl file is from 21 January 2019 (downloaded from the Zotero repository).

Thanks for any help!

PS. I would like to thank the developers for creating such a useful tool as Zotero.
  • This is a feature -- we generally don't sort items in footnotes since most commonly the order is purposeful by the author (and styles rarely prescribe a specific order)
  • Thank you very much for the quick answer. Unfortunately, OSCOLA requires the citations to be in chronological order ("OSCOLA. Fourth Edition", p. 4). Nevertheless, I will arrange the citations manually.
