Sync stuck at "Preparing sync"

Dear Zotero staff,

syncing in the zotero win client is often stuck at preparing sync. I catched the last time it happened, here are the IDs.

Is there anything to do about it?

  • It looks like all of your requests to Zotero servers (except for the report submissions) were failing. Are you still seeing this? Do you see it after restarting Zotero?

    Are you connecting via any sort of VPN?
  • It appears that the problem was the VPN, syncing works fine when not connected via any.
