I need help arranging my thesis bibliography alphabetically and I am clueless with writing codes and all. I used the Canadian Guide to Uniform Legal Citation (McGill Guide).

You'd need to switch author-bib to the first position and move the rest around as well as you seem fit.

That section I pointed out is the "sort" section that defines by what the bibliography is sorted by. You'd switch those around to achieve what you want. In this case putting the author-bib macro first.
