Style request: The Sociological Review

edited December 21, 2020
I'm looking for a slight APA 7th variation.

Link to online style documentation: https://www.thesociologicalreview.com/submit-a-paper/technical-notes-for-authors/

The only relevant information here is: "7. The Sociological Review adheres to the APA reference style. View the APA guidelines to ensure your manuscript conforms to this reference style." However, they are not adhering to this style 100% in their published papers, the only differences that I have noticed are (might notice more throughout the day):

1: No stable URL's / DOI's for journal articles, book chapters or books/e-books in bibliography. The only URL's should be for websites, online reports or other web resources (but not electronic journals or newspaper articles as far as I have observed)
2: (accessed ) after URL's. and no http:// in URL's.

The technical notes links to a style guideline for APA 6, however I would request that this style will be based on the APA 7th single-spaced stylesheet.

ISSN (print): 0038-0261
ISSN (online): 1467-954X

Examples (just DOI removed from the top one, otherwise APA 7):

In-text citation:
(Campbell & Pedersen, 2007)
(Mares, 2001)

Here is an example of an article from 2020 where this APA 7 variation can be seen: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/pdf/10.1177/0038026120928883

Example of change 1, no DOI:
