Unable to synchronize

l am accessing sites through my university website and download the papers to my zotero. Usually I can synchronize my zotero after click the buttom.But this time i find out that it can't. It shows the"Request timed out".Then, it still can't work until I use the VPN. So, I hope the engineer to help me with this problem.THX

For info, l am using Firefox (up to date) on windows.And, located in China.

    Can you provide a Debug ID (different from a Report ID) for a sync attempt that fails?

    I linked to instructions above, but it's clear from that that this is just a problem with your connection — it's being intercepted and blocked. I'm afraid there's nothing we can do about that.

    so does that means if i can change the certificate into trusted,this problem will be solved?

    The certificate is trusted. You're getting that message because your secure connections are being intercepted (though not all, or you wouldn't be able to submit a Report ID). See SSL Certificate Error.

    That's not actually the error message for the sync itself, but the point is just that this isn't a properly working internet connection.

    Ok,I will try to fix this issue later.Maybe this problem just the university network's temporary problem and it will solved by itself? After all,thanks for your help.
